John DePaola, Chairman & CEO
In the early 1990s — after nearly a decade of experience in product development at regional fence installation powerhouse Long Fence® — John DePaola was tasked with expanding the brand. He established a new product initiative: marketing, selling, installing and servicing replacement windows.
Was he successful? In a word: yes. Under John’s leadership, Long Home Products branched off of Long Fence, and the company went on to become a household name across the East Coast for nearly every home improvement product in (and on) a home. Today, John oversees the entire Long Roofing® and Long Home Products operation as Chief Executive Officer.
John holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering science from Loyola University Maryland and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Baltimore. He enjoys an occasional round of golf, exercising and has a love for cars.
John takes advantage of every opportunity to spend time with his wife of over 34 years, Jill Long DePaola, and their family, traveling to new places.
John, Jill, their daughter, Katie, and son, John Jr. are co-founders of Bo’s Effort, an advocacy organization dedicated to increasing mental health education and guidance, in memory of their late son and brother, Robert W. “Bo” DePaola.
