On October 4, 2019, Long Home Products celebrated its 25th year as a company. From Henry “Tots” Long’s humble beginnings running his business out of a decommissioned bus on a Washington, DC street corner, we have grown into a staple of the DC-Baltimore metro area home improvement space and gained the trust and respect of our customers.

In the past 25 years, we have completed various home improvement projects for over 75,000 customers — from windows to kitchens to roofs. Our commitment to quality and excellent customer service, not to mention the dedication of our employees, has helped us grow and earn that trust and respect.
In honor of this great achievement for the Long Home Products family, we held an anniversary party in our office in Beltsville full of celebration, great good and heartfelt moments.
Honoring what we stand for
To help kick off the day’s events, we unveiled to our employees our refreshed mission and vision statements in addition to the new outline of our core values. Over the past several months, our employees have helped us reshape and update these beliefs so they reflect who Long Home Products really is as a company and who we strive to be.
Our mission is to work hard every day to build trust and peace of mind using state-of-the-art solutions to enrich lives for years to come.
We have always believed that everyone deserves to have a quality roof over their heads installed with top-notch craftsmanship. Everyone at Long Home Products, from the executive board down to our product specialists and customer service representatives, is driven by this desire to enhance the lives of our customers and their families.

It’s true. So much of who we are as a company and what we’ve accomplished over the past 25 years is because of our dedicated and hardworking employees. During our celebration, we wanted to take the time to thank and appreciate those who have shared so much of their lives with us.
Ranging from five to eighteen years of service, we gave special recognition and cash awards to more than 30 employees. We’re so thankful for the commitment that these employees make to the LONG name every day.
Beyond emotional moments and thanks, we celebrated the day with activities, entertainment and food.
Individuals and teams set out on a scavenger hunt throughout the office the hunt down, solve and complete a long list of challenges and riddles. Whoever found the most items and solved the most challenges within the allotted time frame (picture proof required!) and won the ultimate prize – bragging rights.
Employees were given the chance to let loose and get festive with our Long Fence and Home photo booth. With custom backdrops and props, oversized sunglasses, feather boas and more, our employees let their playfulness shine as they posed with each other and the new “face” of our company!
To cap our day of celebration and employee recognition, we moved outside to enjoy a team-wide catered lunch in the parking lot, enjoying each other’s company as much as the fine weather. Gathered together with good barbeque and great friends, we gave thanks for our wonderful, extended LONG family.
Going forward for another 25 years
As we look back and celebrate the past 25 years, we also look forward to the next 25 ahead. Our recommitment to our core values and mission, as well as the bonds we continue to build between our employees, our customers and our partners, will help guide everyone in the LONG family to honor and build upon the legacy that came before and build a better tomorrow.
