Long Roofing sets up shop in Richmond, Va
Published on Saturday August 6, 2016We’ve outgrown the DMV.
Long Roofing has officially branched out beyond the Washington, D.C. metro area, launching new businesses in nearby Richmond, Virginia.
It’s our first step in a move that we hope will bring solid, new roofs and our 50-year-warranty to families throughout the mid-Atlantic region.
“The Long Roofing system is tried and true,” John DePaola, CEO and president of Long Roofing, says. “We constantly get calls from areas near Washington, D.C., but we’ve always had to reject these requests. The decision has been made to increase our resources so that we can assist homeowners who live within a few hours of D.C. with their roofing needs.”
Long Roofing is SELECT ShingleMaster-certified by roofing product manufacturer CertainTeed, a designation earned by roughly one percent of roofers in the United States.
That’s a nice accomplishment, but we’ve really built our reputation on craftsmanship, professionalism and transparency.
“We’re a household name in D.C.,” Mr. DePaola says. “With a reputation to uphold, we consistently strive to use the highest integrity and best practices to deliver on our customers’ demands. We can’t speak for any other roofer — we measure ourselves by our own high standards. We are harder on ourselves than anyone else could be.”
What customers in Harrisburg and Richmond can expect from Long Roofing
It’s safe to say that roof replacements can be stressful. The team at Long Roofing seeks to make roof installation a little more friendly and a little less traumatic.
“From our initial contact with the customer, we strive to make their roofing project stress- and worry-free,” Mr. DePaola explains.
“We work hard to do what we say we are going to do, and to do it on time. We know that our customers have busy lives, so we want to be the company of roofing experts that are on and off your property in one day. We pride ourselves on taking what was a huge fear and making that worry go away for our customers. The job will be done professionally, every time.”
As we make inroads into Harrisburg and Richmond, Mr. DePaola continues to stress the importance of making the homeowner happy.
“We exist to gain the satisfaction of our customers,” he says. “They make everything possible for us.”
The value of a Long roof
A roof replaced by Long Roofing is built to last. The new roof includes industry-leading materials and is installed by serious, knowledgeable pros, culminating in what is known as the whole roof system:
- The deck, the wooden, structural surface of the roof.
- The drip edge, which guides water off the eaves.
- The ice and water barrier applied to the deck to prevent damage from potential ice damming.
- The underlayment to keep the deck dry while shingles are applied.
- Flashing to protect spots where the roof meets a vertical wall, like a chimney.
- Shingles to repel water and protect the roof. They look great, too!
- Ventilation to ensure your roof stays cool and dry, regardless of the conditions.
“When a job is done efficiently, it helps bring down the cost for the consumer,” Mr. DePaola says. “In every case, those savings are passed on to our customers. We never claim to be the cheapest, because cheap means cutting corners — but our customers will be hard-pressed to find a better value in any market we service.”
A new roof from Long Roofing can actually check at 20% off* and a 50-year warranty for the full replacement value of the roof. Contact us for more info.
What kinds of roof replacements does Long Roofing offer?
We offers two roofing styles: shingle roofs and shake-style roofs.
Shingle roofs, often with asphalt shingles (four out of five American homes have asphalt shingles on their roofs), are very popular. Homeowners can choose from a wide variety of colors, including Sea Green, Gray Frost, Black Pepper, Oakwood, Brick Red, among others. Shingle roofs are guaranteed to resist streaking caused by airborne algae.
Shake-style roofs use highly durable, laminated fiberglass shingles that have the rural, rustic look of authentic wooden shakes. Shake-style roofs boast a high-definition appearance and come in several color choices. Shake-style shingles can resist winds blowing up to 110 miles per hour.
