Long Roofing Hall of Fame

Over the last 7 decades, Long Home Products has been recognized as a leader in home improvement across the East Coast United States, helping countless families enjoy safer, more beautiful homes. When our doors first opened in 1945, Long Home Products began by operating out of a decommissioned city bus stationed on a street corner in Washington, D.C.

Our founder, Henry “Tots” Long, started his company with a commitment to quality products and quality service – a mission taken up by his son, Robert, and all LONG employees since.

Our ability to continue his vision and mission to provide superb customer service is all thanks to our employees. Day in and day out, they are the ones serving our customers and helping them build the homes of their dreams; they are the ones who have made LONG the expert in home improvement that it is today.

The company was built on a foundation of honesty, integrity and a commitment to customer service. To honor our employees who go above and beyond that commitment, we initiated the Long Home Products Hall of Fame.

The LONG Hall of Fame

During our general sales meeting, our sales and management teams gathered together to present to the LONG team this year’s inductees. During this presentation, we called out and honored each inductee, presenting them with a plaque that hangs with pride on the wall of our Hall of Fame room.

What makes a LONG employee?

At Long Home Products, our commitment is to our customers. We promise to sell nothing less than the best products on the market, offer top quality workmanship and provide above-and-beyond customer service. In honor of this mission, we only hire talented individuals who live up to this high standard. To make the wall, our employees must demonstrate:

The 2019 Inductees

Brett

Brett came to Long Home Products in 2016 after working in car and insurance sales for almost 20 years. To date, his net sales are just north of 7.2 million dollars with an average sale of $17,600 – that’s over 420 roof, window, door and siding customers enjoying their new LONG home thanks to Brett’s hard work!

Brett is married to his wife, Debbie, who herself is in sales and works as a corporate trainer for a nationwide company. Together, they have 4 children. Brett is an avid golfer, a cigar aficionado, and loves to travel.

Greg

A hometown boy, Greg was born in Annapolis, MD and received his bachelor’s degree in government and politics from The University of Maryland, making him a lifelong fan of the Maryland Terripans, Washington Redskins and Washington Capitals. With over 15 years of experience in the home improvement and construction industry, he has carried that passion into his work at Long Home Products to help his customers get the homes of their dreams.

Fun Fact: Greg has appeared on the Who Wants to Be a Millionaire TV game show!

Tony

Before Tony came to Long Home Products in 2013, he lived to play tennis. Picking up his first racquet when he was 10, he went to Ohio University on a tennis scholarship and has played in several tournaments across the country, eventually serving as a Tennis Director at several clubs across the country over a 30-year career. When he made the switch to Long Home Products, he brought the same fire to his sales calls that he served on the clay.

As one of our integral team members, Tony can speak to every product that we sell at LONG – a true Renaissance man.

Teresa

Before joining the Long Home Products team almost 5 years ago, Teresa was an Army MP and Drill Sergeant, a bank teller, a DC police officer and a real estate broker (which she still does from time to time). Having learned dedication and commitment through the various positions she’s held over the years, Teresa brings outstanding customer service skills toher team at Long. She can speak to all the products and services that we offer at LONG, making her a valuable asset and a versatile team member.

Of the many jobs that she’s had over the years, her favorite by far has been being a mother and grandmother.
